Overview
Tsavo East national park is the largest park in Kenya. It covers an area of 13,747 km2. Physical attractions in Tsavo East national park include Tsavo River, Yatta Plateau which is 300 km2, Mdanda Rock, Lugard Falls, Voi Seasonal River and Aruba Dam. You will have also a chance to see animals such as red elephants, rhinos, leopards, cheetah, and giraffes among others
Tsavo West is the second largest park in Kenya after Tsavo East. It covers an area of 9,065 km2. Tsavo West is a paradise for animals including elephants, giraffes, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, and buffalos among others. The landscape of Tsavo West is grassland savannah with acacia bushes with Mzima Springs and Shetani Larva being the special attractions.
Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulphur springs, the savannah, and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture.
